”Strength and joy” for foreign workers in Berlin

The article supposedly written by the reporter in Berlin relates activities of Nazi organization ”Strength and joy” that have had aimed at providing leisure for German workers in the pre-war time. Now this organization supposedly provides leisure time for foreign workers in Berlin area. The article describes in some details musical concert and the beautiful hall in which it was held for foreign workers and relates some of the emotions Serbian workers expressed after this event.

A whole range of themes covered in articles present the complexity of forced labor in that time and a huge effort by collaborationist government and the media supporting it to present labor issue in a way suitable for Third Reich and its goal of acquiring sufficient number of workers from Serbia in one way or another.
